To add or remove forks and wheels from the list of standard components in BikeCAD Pro, click on View >> Customize (or ALT-V, ALT-C). This will launch the Customization dialog box. Choose the Components tab shown below:
To add or delete forks, choose the Forks tab. Forks can be deleted simply by selecting one or more forks and clicking the Delete button.
To add a fork, click the Add button. Give the fork a name and enter the appropriate specifications. Once all the forks have been added or removed as desired, click on the Save settings (Forks) button.
Follow a similar process to add or remove wheels and rear dropouts from the lists of standard wheels and rear dropouts.
Once saved, these files are stored in the directory BikeCAD Pro\configuration. The files are called forks.xml, reardropouts.xml and wheels.xml. Anyone wishing to have their favourite brands of forks, dropouts or wheels added to the default library in future versions of BikeCAD should e-mail their modified forks.xml, reardropouts.xml or wheels.xml files to us. Alternatively, you could use the "Custom" setting for forks, dropouts, or wheels and enter the specifications for your preferred component that way. In that case, you could just e-mail us the resulting BCAD file and we would extract the component data from there. The most current files can be downloaded from here: forks.xml, reardropouts.xml, wheels.xml.
If a BCAD file with a particular standard fork is loaded into a session of BikeCAD or BikeCAD Pro that does not contain that fork in it's library, then the new fork is automatically added to the list of standard forks. That fork however, will be removed from the standard list the next time a new BCAD file is read in.
