Busy month

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

I’ve had an extraordinarily busy January at work. Firstly, one of our chiropractors is off on maternity leave, and most recently the chief of our operation, Dr. Nardella’s father passed away, thus taking him off work to spend more time with his family. I’ve since been covering for these two chiropractors all along while seeing my own patients. I’ve enjoyed getting back into a little more regular training, but that is all it has really been — just a little regular training.

Baton Rouge training camp

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Preceding the Chilliwack camp, I’m heading down south for a week-long training camp in February,…although this time I’ll be heading down as a personal chiropractor/therapist for an Olympic medal contender track and field athlete. This should serve well as an exciting professional experience for me; I’m quite excited and feel very fortunate.
G’night, early morning swimming tomorrow….

Chilliwack/Cultus Lake triathlon training camp

Monday, January 21st, 2008

I’m currently in Chilliwack, just scoping out the local training grounds.  So far, I’m impressed and excited about what I’m finding.  I’m now confirmed in hosting a week-long training camp based out of Chilliwack mid-March.  There are a few other speedy triathletes from Calgary/Vancouver who will be taking part.  We’re all going to benefit from each other’s strengths; starting the spring training off with a bit of momentum.  It’s going to be focused week of aerobic base building and working on technique and core strength/form.  Bonus, it’s going to be an overall good time, I can hardly wait.
